Measuring Consumer Support for Small Businesses Post-Pandemic

The engagement

The pandemic changed how consumers shopped and which businesses they chose to support. Sendinblue wanted to understand whether the shift toward small business purchasing was lasting and how consumer attitudes toward data privacy were shaping brand relationships.

The research approach

CITE Research surveyed consumers across the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and France, examining small business shopping frequency, data privacy expectations and the generational differences shaping post-pandemic purchasing behaviour.

From findings to impact

The research found that 41% of U.S. consumers were purchasing from small businesses more than before the pandemic. Sendinblue used the findings to support its communications and content programme across multiple markets.

Highlighted result

4,199 consumers across four countries revealed a post-pandemic shift in small business purchasing behaviour.

Methodology

CITE Research conducted the survey on behalf of Sendinblue among 4,199 consumers in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom and France.
