CITE Research — Services

Survey Data Analysis & Story Development

Data does not pitch itself. We turn survey findings into clear, credible stories for communications, marketing and business audiences.

What CITE provides

The bridge between data and impact

CITE Research reviews and analyzes existing survey data, identifies the strongest defensible findings and develops a clear narrative around them. We can work with research produced by CITE, an internal team or another provider when sufficient data, methodology documentation and usage rights are available. Deliverables may include sourced statistics, story architecture, headlines, media angles, visualization guidance and activation recommendations.

When to use it

When you have data but need a story

This service is a strong fit when you have existing research but need help evaluating the data, interpreting the findings, developing a narrative or planning appropriate uses across PR, marketing and sales materials.

Credible data exist, but the strongest story is unclear.

A report is not generating the expected interest or reuse.

An older dataset needs to be evaluated before reuse.

Findings from several studies need one coherent narrative.

Teams need a plan for using research across channels.

Project parameters

What to expect

Typical audiences

Marketing and communications teams, PR agencies, content teams, demand-generation teams, product marketers and research or insights teams.

Research methods

Survey-data review and analysis; subgroup comparisons; narrative development; story architecture; media-angle development; data-visualization guidance; and content-activation planning.

Sample sizes

Not applicable. CITE Research can work with existing research when sufficient data, methodology documentation and usage rights are available.

Typical schedule

Often 1–2 weeks for analysis and story development on a complete, documented dataset and 2–3 weeks for broader activation planning. Timing depends on data quality, complexity and the required deliverables.

Deliverables

Potential deliverables include a story-architecture document, clearly sourced statistics, suggested headlines and media angles, data-visualization recommendations, PR guidance and—when the dataset supports it—an activation calendar.

Research rigor meets PR experience

Research and Communications Experience

CITE combines analytical rigor with an understanding of how evidence is evaluated and used publicly.

Defensible Story Selection

Findings are assessed for strength, relevance and limitations before a narrative is recommended.

Channel-Specific Structure

The same dataset may support different narratives for media, reports, sales materials or executive content.

Clear Attribution

Findings are structured with source and methodology context that makes them easier to understand and reference.

What survey data analysis and story development can support

Clearer angles from the same data

A well-structured story gives journalists and content teams a clearer, more usable angle—improving the research’s potential for coverage and reuse.

Content activation planning

When the dataset supports it, CITE Research can develop an activation calendar for using findings across media outreach, research reports, blogs, social content, sales materials and presentations.

Sales and marketing alignment

A shared narrative can help sales and marketing teams use the same evidence appropriately across PR, sales materials and demand-generation efforts.

Search and AI discoverability

Clearly stated findings, source attribution and accessible methodology can improve the ability of search engines and AI systems to identify and understand published research.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can CITE analyze research conducted by another company?

Yes, when adequate data, methodology documentation and usage rights are available.

What materials are needed?

The questionnaire, methodology, topline results and crosstabs are typically required. Raw data may also be useful.

Can older research be reused?

Possibly. CITE assesses the study's age, relevance, methodology and original permissions before recommending reuse.

Will CITE create a story the data do not support?

No. Recommended narratives must be grounded in the available evidence and presented with appropriate limitations.

Can the work include media angles and headlines?

Yes. Potential angles and headlines may be included when supported by the findings.

Does this service include media pitching?

Not automatically. Media-relations responsibilities are defined with the client or agency before the engagement.
