A fast path to publishable data

An omnibus survey allows multiple organizations to place a limited number of questions within the same nationally representative survey. Participants share the core fieldwork costs, while each client receives the results, crosstabs and methodology documentation associated with its own questions. CITE Research fields scheduled omnibus waves so approved questions can move into fieldwork quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about omnibus surveys

What is an omnibus survey?

A shared survey in which several organizations place their own questions and share the underlying fieldwork cost.

Who sees our results?

Your organization receives the findings from its questions. Other participants do not receive them.

How many questions can we ask?

The minimum placement is two questions. Larger question sets may be possible, although a custom study may be more appropriate for complex programs.

How quickly are results delivered?

Results are typically available within 3–5 business days, depending on the wave schedule and final questionnaire approval.

Can omnibus findings be used publicly?

Yes. CITE provides methodology language for public use, subject to the agreed project terms.

When is a custom survey a better choice?

A custom study is better when you need a specialized audience, a longer questionnaire, complex logic or full control over the research experience.
